What do you all think?

Football is all about the fans, but if they have to play behind closed doors for 12 months I don't care, I'll still pay to watch on BT/Sky or wherever its shown

I agree, but what concerns me is the players will be in seriously close proximity when on the pitch together, so how can they be protected?

Also if the pro's are coming back behind closed door, what about lower tier football? How low down are we talking? My Saturday side are top of the league and we would love to be promoted.

I would like that if it does happen. Missing football too much lol. Glad we have UE even times like this we still get to play.

I still have my subscriptions so would be nice to see them play behind closed doors. With all the player with masks and gloves on lol.

I cannot fathom how we can have a situation where I must remain six feet from anyone in Tesco but a footballer can tackle and challenge for a header in a crowded penalty area.

Obviously if the testing kits are available without detriment to the NHS numbers, that is the key.

Consistent testing to ensure it is safe to play then it doesn't matter about the contact as the only people involved are safe to do so.

That answers the points from Maxi on lower league, and also Mr Rone on Tesco, if you haven't had a test and cannot be sure if you have the virus then social distancing has to remain.

The Premier league and its member clubs have the resources to pay for this.

I guess my question to start should have been mainly about the behind closed doors bit, would it really bother you that much if there wasn't a crowd?

I go to watch Hereford. I'd be shocked if there was a crowd.

You answered my point, as made, perfectly, Dan. What happens if a team is unable to produce it's best side due to the unavailability of players who have tested positive?

Also, given the purported fact that ;-"evidence from China suggests up to 30 out of every 100 people with coronavirus might test negative" , would those figures, if ratified, be enough to confirm a restart or should it be much nearer 100% than it is to 50/50? (Source: The Conversation, University of Bristol)

Valid points, I guess it has to be dependant on the reliability of the testing.

As for having players unavailable due to the virus, I would think prior to undertaking project restart, it would be agreed it would be treated just like injury and be taken as part and parcel
