If a player is elimated, can their players be picked again or are they gone too? I ask as this was an issue the last time

Maybe the 44 entrants so far should be split up? Perhaps 3 groups of 15 if Joseboy joins. I'd be surprised if people can think of 500 odd Legends to fill the teams. Pele's list only goes to 100  Splitting the groups up might also speed the process up - if we work on the basis that each person might take 4-6 hours to make a pick on average (not sure how often people log in) might be Christmas by the time the teams are completed. And you could even have the best three teams meaning more UE points to share around

Ok, I see the point. It has been split into 3 groups of 15. We will pick the winner from each group, and then there will be a poll to see which team is the ultimate winner.
The only problem doing it this way is it might get confusing checking if a player has been picked already, especially in the later stages. If managers can help out by pointing out when they see this happening, and letting managers know when it is their turn, it will speed up the process.
The 24 hour rule is an upper limit. If managers think about who they might pick before hand, and pick promptly when it's their turn, hopefully it will move quickly.

Just for clarification a player can only be picked once across the three groups, so Maradona for example can't be picked by group B or c as he's already in a

No a player can be picked once per group, so Maradona can picked in each group.

Group A seems to be a lot smaller? Would that mean law of averages they'd have better overall teams as more players left to choose from?

Just thinking out loud This is what I was thinking. They will have the best players of all time spread across 4 teams where as the other 2 groups of 15 will have the best of all time spread across 15 teams. Surely 2 groups with one team more than the other would be better?
