3) Once everyone has picked 3 players, round 3, and all subsequent rounds start with entrant 10 picking first. This is to counter the advantage the early entrants have being able to pick the Messi and Ronaldo’s of this world .

Does the team have to work positionally?? So 2 full backs, 2 centre backs etc etc?

Yes, has to work positionally, but it doesn't have to be limited to a 4-4-2. As long as it's a reasonable formation.

Once the players are all picked I'll ask managers to put positions by all of the players, and to write a paragraph championing the merits of their team, if they wish to.

If anyone plays CB CB RM LM PL PL FR RF LF CF, will be judged accordingly.

As will anyone picking Marco Van Basten at RWB.

Surely a poll wouldn't be the best way to decide it. That would make it open to corruption like friends banding together and voting for friends. A game that is giving out 5 reward points should not be decided by players (if you vote for me I'll sell you such and such and so on). Would it not be best for you to decide?

When the 3 finalists are decided I think the managers concerned then have an opportunity to pitch their team and why they should win

For example

Appearances, Trophies won, great performances etc.

Then UE decide the overall Winner.

Maybe the 2 runners up get 3 UE points each????
