Based on what I've read in the other thread I am proposing these changes.


The current Karma Player option. 350 Karma

Newly generated players via this method will typically only have one 10 in the untrainable stats. The name must be unique in the game in question and in the masters file, so nobody will be able to use the same name as current players or legends.

New option - Gold Karma Players. 1000 Karma

Newly generated players via this method will be more likely to have more 10s in the untrainable stats. They will automatically have added potential. The name must be unique in the game, but not compared to the masters, so using legend names will be possible, as long as they are not already taken.

Please let me know your thoughts on this, and if there are any details you think should be altered. If approved there will be notice before it is implemented, but it may happen before the end of the 120 season.

Let me create 1 first when I get 350 karma in 120 just like the majority of other karma players are now then change or I'll never get the 1000 karma as wouldn't like to pay 1000 karma for player similar to dozens already been made for 350.

I like the idea for the start of new games, but i do not think this should be implemented part way through a game! In general, we need to be careful when introducing changes part way though games, as it can give some managers an unintentional advantage.

Most managers have already created Karma players (with 3x10 untrainables) at a reduced karma cost of 350, and with legend names too! For that same cost we would only get a lesser karma player going forward, which I don’t feel is fair.

A question Ben: to warrant a near treble increase in cost, how different will the make-up of a Karma gold player be in comparison to the current karma player option?

Another question Ben: how will the computer handle duplicate names? Will the request be instantly rejected? To prevent against this, Is it possible to get a list of karma players in the game world each turn?

Well I started with 0 Karma and some teams basically similar to mine had 500 and it's going to take me ages to even get to 350 without using any on injuries and with how good I've already seen other karma players I'd be against the idea adding this new idea in 120 altogether seen as we will have a very lot of great karma players been created for just 350 were as in a brand new game the smaller clubs can only create 1 then rather having 2/3 per team.

Automatic POT? Not too sure about that as high Untrainables an good training results can mean pot isn’t needed and the player can turn out better than the POT player. Having said that it would be a great bargaining tool, so guess it has good and not so good points.

But a good idea over all and I would welcome it.

There should be a pricing structure in place, like you have mentioned. The two tier step is very welcome.

I have a concern with the gold Karma players having added potential. It means for 1000 Karma you will get a player with untrainable stats being 10 and added potential. I believe this makes karma more valuable that UE points. I don't like that. I feel the gold Karma player should have have 10 untrainable stats but not potential.

It's in the interest not to make karma more valuable than UE points.

But all that being said, the two tier system is very welcome and a positive change.

Agree it shouldn't be implemented until a new game to prevent the unfair advantage so many have had so far.

As for the potential part I like it, I don't feel it undermines ue points as it takes a season at least to gain 1000 karma.

Love the idea, but I agree with the consensus that it should be brought into a new game rather than one that has already started. It would just mess things up bringing it into an existing game.

Is this on top of what is being offered? If so I think it's a little greedy, I mean it's karma it shouldn't be that good. To expect 10/10/10 untrainables POT & SA of choice is mental, am I the only one seeing this? :lol: :lol: :lol:

Not a fan of have duplicate names in the game ie 2/3 messi’s or Ronaldo’s would like to see the karma invention scrapped or just 1 per team that then can’t be swapped its imo ruining the game having duplicate players

Nice to see the idea being implemented Ben.

I have to agree with muscles 1000 karma basically means you have a awesome player.

I would like to see:
1) No hidden pot on gold karma players
2) not implemented until game 121
3) find a way to top duplicate names.
4) by the use of gold karma does that mean there will never be a legends game again?

Although I'm not the biggest fan of this but I don't think it's fair to scrap it now but I would put a stop to the legend names before it gets out of hand.

Scrap it? :lol: :lol: Personally think karma is good for the game.

However i wouldn't mind Ben making one of the old style games with no POT, no SA's or karma to show the newer managers from the past few years how hard the games used to be. By hard i mean how much more work you have to put in without all these 'gimme's' available nowadays. The old style with no 'hand me biscuits' was always the best indication of who were the most skilled managers.

As for duplicate names, yeah stop that. Its easily done for Ben I'm sure. But while its available use it.

I would be well pissed off if there wasn't another legends game in the future as i campaigned for a legends game going back 10 years ago to always be rebuffed by UE. From what i remmeber this one was made with a view of 'seeing how it goes' and it appears not only to be very popular and lucrative for Ben but actually ended up a cracking game.

Imagine a HFG on the legends database or the old style games with no POT, SA's or Karma on today's database. Now they would be the ultimate tests.
