Hi gents , as you will all know turn 10 people will be able to take an additional team but in a different league but was wondering as I know a few others are chomping at the bit of not just getting their first team but a second side , would not be from the start but from turn 5 onwards which would bring new cash into the game to perhaps clear debts that clubs may have and more teams making the transfer market more busy , I get some people never take a second or third side etc but a few guys like myself always have more than one team and sooner the better for getting the second side


Any thoughts ?

I'm not a fan of the waiting 10 turns for another side.

I do enjoy taking on a challenge seperate from my main side. I also think this would help bigger sides sell on players to reduce debt.

Will people try and abuse this just to sell on their players and drop teams? Probably which is a shame but take a harsh stance on this and anyone caught doing this will have some sort of punishment .

You could maybe bring in a 1 ST minimum for a 2nd team which would also discourage any cheating.

I’m 100% on board with getting a 2nd team sooner than the 10 week plan. No issue with a minimum payment being invoked to discourage shady behaviour

Agree with the guys above, i took My 2nd side Norrkoping from the start in the legends game 119 and still have them to date and we are nearly half way through season 6. So i would love to take a 2nd side on in 121 as i'll be keeping them. Don't even mind what or where they are based either.

I would argue it needs to be at least from week 5 - otherwise you will get managers picking and choosing their best scouts for their "preferred" side.

Isn't it defeating the object of a HFG, 1 team per manager original format?

Saying that, if the consensus is enough, this is a business at the end of the day and if Ben is getting enough money thrown at him he would be silly to turn it down.

Id probably take another on a season ticket in 121 to be fair

I haven't done an HFG before however based on other games it's multi team managers that keep the game going. The more managed teams the better imo. Obviously there are those that are taken on and stripper so agree that a second side should have a minimum commitment to avoid them being taken on and then dropped. I guess that's less of an issue at the beginning of this format as the teams are so poor?

I'd prefer it moved to season 2. You shouldn't be allowed a second team until season 2.

However turn 10 is a decent compromise, so I don't and won't moan.

Two teams from the start gives you double scouts, double opportunities and double the clout. This won't be a good addition in my opinion. However I am happy to go along with the masses, no problem.

Agree with Gary, double scouting opportunities doesn't sit well with me.
Anything from Turn 5 to s2 seems a good compromise but agree revune for Ben is important.
I think a minimum commitment to a season ticket should be envoked though to filter out the dodgy people.

A compromise could be for the additional team to not be allowed to scout for 10 turns, and a minimum of a season ticket on them. I wonder how many would still be keen to ask for 2 sides with that in place!!

This would also aid Ben in terms of revenue, but only managers with the right intentions would take advantage of it. Seems like all parties would benefit from this

But then your punishing the second side and make it double hard when they will already be 5 turns behind , a season ticket would be enough

But in an HFG I think it is a massive advantage to be able to scout 20 sides rather than 10 in first 3-4 turns especially, meaning you can fill your gaps more readily with that advantage.

I think you're right, it will filter out the guys with hidden agenda's and the guys with honorable intentions. But the scouting i think should be allowed as it is part of the teams turn, but maybe introduce officially that one team can only sign the player that side scouts. Could be a way to prevent any hidden advantages to other teams.

HFG, build 2 sides with only 10 scouts a week for the first 5/10 turns. I think it's a good challenge

I like that anyone taking a second team has to put a season ticket on them. That will be the case throughout 121.

There were very few applications for the Northern League so I was going to set it as an unmanageable league, so the players would all be for sale. But after reading this thread...

If at least 10 managers want to pay for a reduced price season ticket (£50) to take a second team in the Northern League, they can reserve teams in that league.

They can go in as managers but there season ticket won't activate and they won't receive reports until turn 5.

The Northern league won't be open for anyone until turn 5.

If anyone is interested in this let me know, otherwise second teams can be requested in other leagues from turn 10.

sorry if im being thick here but if at least 10 managers apply and take control from turn 5 i take it that means nobody will be able to buy players from those teams turns 2-4

If the Northern league is active it means none of the players will be available for sale, until teams are managed. Then only players managers wish to sell.

I don't agree with second team management for an HFG but if it must go ahead can we have it so teams can only bid on players they have scouted or appear in there team's turn only?

Eg a manager should only bid for players for Team A who appear in Team A's turn that week while only able to bid for players for Team B who appear in Team B's turn that week.

Team A bidding on players scouted in Team B's turn and vice versa Team B bidding on players scouted in Team A's turn should be forbidden.
