So who's at home bored out of their mind already?!

I'm self employed and run a small paint and bodywork business with 2 staff, decided yesterday to close the doors for the foreseeable, it's just not right to be at work at the moment. In fairness, the government package put forward to help is a very good one so I'm happy that we will ride the storm and still be OK financially.

Trying to find positives, I've got a 2 year old at home excited to spend lots of time with me as I work 6 days a week, and the wife is 6 months pregnant so she could do with a hand anyway, although I don't fancy doing much DIY!

I thought they were still thrashing out terms for the self employed?

They are, but I'm confident that they will be enough to see me through. The financial package to pay staff and the small business grant I'm eligible for is enough to send us home and be safe

Nothing’s changed for me.

I work in a rehab with sex offenders, Drug/Alcohol dependents and we have some mental health cases as well. So it’s normal service for me, I work nights 22.30pm - 8am and have done for years. The other half is still on maternity leave as we have a 26 week baby called Luka & my daughter Lizzie is 2, so it’s literally as you were apart from Leah and our little ones can’t leave the house, where as I can being a key worker. So we count ourselves very lucky for this and I’m offering as much help as I can give to neighbours. We FaceTime our mothers with the little ones morning & afternoon to keep them in touch with their grandchildren as much as possible.

Mind you I’ve noticed the rapid rise in my partner wanting to walk my dog Paddy since the lockdown began lol

not really an issue for me, i'm an OAP living in a 'sheltered housing' complex. i'm at the allotment every day to feed and water my chickens and with the better weather in sight will be spending longer and longer up there. life goes on...(hopefully)

Been home since last Tuesday and have only been out twice, once shopping, once to take my youngest son to hospital as he broke his collar bone in the garden. Nightmare, but it was a lot less stressful than I thought it would be. Gutted as the boys were having such fun with us both home working. But taking the positives and in it for however long it takes to ensure ‘normal’ life returns and stays ! All stay safe and roll on 121 !!

Yeah mate it was. You had Newcastle in 75? and I had Porto. Feels like a life time ago now. Glad you're still playing mate. Been out for a while but looking forward to getting back into the game.

I run a business called Debt Assist UK that helps people struggling with debts. Our teams are working remotely through the lockdown making sure anyone who is worried about their debts get the sound advice and help they need.

Wow, sounds amazing that. Assume its a non profitable organisation or charity that solely cares about the welfare of its fellow man?

Truely uplifting to see organisations still exist.

That was last night in wales, it got an amazing reception as so many people posted pictures and recordings of the round of applause. So nice to see.

But if there was ever a time we needed UE, it is now! My god!

Just over three weeks ago I was in self isolation with corona virus symptoms, but missed public testing by one day.

So either had it or mu first bough of flu, either way it was awful.

A terrible cough, headache and temperature fluctuations.
Eased off after 5 days, had a day and a half of reasonably decent form but after went bad again... cough, mucus at back of throat, hard to catch breath etc...

Used a weeks holiday after and now on Furlough.

Stay safe lads.

I run a security company normally we focus on doors and events but right now supermarkets have become the main thing for us so whilst we normally roll into the office about 10-11am and work until the early hours at weekends right now we are up at 5am everyday but finishing by 9pm so it’s a strange feeling lol.

Mrs is going mad being stuck in the house with 2 kids though lol.
