Just a simple conversation starter, I'm not asking for anything now or later. No need for the usual to come in moaning.
Currently 3 teams get relegated and 3 teams get promoted.
Currently we have a turn 0
What do people think of a playoff for promotion/relegation.
4th place in the league below plays the team that finished 4th bottom.
Would it be fun?
Would it be worth it?
Would it even work within the mechanics?
Would it be to ruthless to have 4 teams at risk of relegation in a 14 team league?
Would it make promotion to easy, with the possibility of 4 teams going up?
Don't mind the idea being built up or it being torn down, just do so decently, I'm not saying we should change the game, it's just a conversation starter.

Quite like it - only tweak might be to suggest the 3rd bottom play 3rd top so it's still 3 up/down given the smallish league sizes. Although having a 4th team involved in the promotion/relegation battles could add a lot of jeopardy.
The only other concern with it being 4 is that in recent games/seasons, some teams as low as 8th or 10th have been given Champions League football given cup winners. So it wouldn't be inconceivable that you could get relegated and in to the champs league in the same season based on league form alone
Could be played the week when the friendlies are usually done in week 27. Managers who potentially could be involved would need to be savvy enough to scout the relevant sides in the run up to it

Not a fan, mainly as Ben's said himself that the game was never designed with a Turn 0 in mind and that it's a pain to do. Adding more to it would probably be vetoed.
That aside, I prefer how it is now - if you're up, you're up. If you're down, down you go.
