In game 110 & 115 I remember each Eos looking forward to my players rises. Not the first team rises but reserves and youth team.
I was a common thing to have 3/4 players that would rise that much that they would be promoted to the first team and actually be starters.

Did something change that has stopped this, it would be nice for certain youth players, if good enough, to really improve Eos, as this is often the case in real life.

Thought this for a long time, used to love a youth player rising 8-9 stats and say 3pv to make 1st team consideration. Never happens now. Can’t remember the last time a reserve or youth stepped up eos which is not realistic to real life.

The EOS process has been tweaked many times in the past but not recently. There were complaints that some players went up too much, as well as lots and lots of complaints that some teams went up more than others. If there is a large consensus that agree with this it's something I can look at.

Yeah I agree that good players shouldn't rise to much, think that's a good call most will agree with.

I just meant that in old games you would have had a 33/90 in the youths, that would rise to 35/96 ish at Eos, and all of a sudden he's good enough for first team.

Guess what I'm saying is make it like real life if possible, where Eos and youth player could make it into the first team for start of the season.
But don't give big rises to the first team players, keep that as it is.

I agree that eos rises for reserve and youth players has dropped alot. Encourages you to manage these teams if it pays off. Also is there anyway unmanaged teams can rise at eos?

Yeah i remember the complaining came in and then it all changed. Always thought it was wrong as like someone said above it was nice to see these youth players make that step to first team squad status over eos, the weird thing is that this happens in real life.

Muscles if i remember correctly you were one for the people that wanted this stopped ;)

But yeah i miss the odd surprise from the youths as sadly i pay no attention to them or the reserves anymore.

This is bullshit, I did no such thing. If you have proof please show it, otherwise stop talking out of your rear end

I remember my old Boro team in 116, youths won their league unbeaten and i think at least 3 of them had good enough rises and were promoted straight into the 1st team in S3, made it worthwhile and enjoyable to manage them.

Now all i use them for is buying half decent players in, plonking them in youths/reserves and waiting for a bid to come in from ROTW to sell on.

Would love a return to the way it used to be. Rises to first team players are fine as it is though.

I think there should be a few rises. To be realistic in real life theres always a couple of players who are deemed good enough to be promoted to the 1st team squad at the start of every season. This will also be the case with older players who will most likely decrease in rating.

Agree with this nothing worse as a small team seeing top top players going up from 99 to 102+ while smaller teams struggle. Rises though should not happen for the sake of it managers need to be identifying these wnderkids in there reserves and youth and training them to reap a eos benefit

I am not against this in theory but I also think it could be a case of being careful of what you wish for.

If I had spent my UE points to put potential and maybe a SA on a youngster who looks like he could become something great I would be frustrated if some muppet in the reserves (who I have not even looked at, let alone trained) becomes a world star after having his summer holidays.
I prefer to be rewarded for spotting talent, signing them, investing in them and training them and wouldnt want random luck to overshadow such work.

Saying this Im certainly not against reserve and youth players improving but I think at best it should be tweaked as if its over done it will ruin the game in my opinion.

I've always thought there should be more benefit/advantage to anyone actively managing their reserve and youth team. At the minute they can win £4m and get 3 extra UE points eos and an extra training slot. I think for someone who enjoys developing the reserve/youth team there should be more reward and the best way to do this would be eos rises, I think it should reflect on how active you are in running that team. Managers who don't manage reserve/youth should not be given as many rises in these squads imo. Hopefully this would create more interest in people running their res/youth, therefore, more revenue for UE, more deals and more interest generally across the board.

Agree with Natty here. I manage all 3 squads, scout 10 teams every week and carefully pick players and train particular stats every turn. Id like to see it reflected in the rises EOS
