This is an opinion question so don't get bent out of shape when someone else has a different one.

Which changes have been good and which bad?
For me.....

Good
State of mind - additional mental aspect to the game has made it more difficult, I've still no idea how to master it.
2 team management - no harm in running two teams (HFG specific) really enjoying them.
Karma - good addition to the game and is helping to keep the forum active which benefits us all.
Buying rises - using points to up Agg and speed is great, I would love it to include vision but understand the reasoning behind its exclusion.

Bad
Dual SAs - would love this returned to one SA, would really get you thinking about who gets what SA and would add an extra dimension to the game.
Training slots - 3 slots for first team I don't like. Prefer it was back at one. Again adding to difficulty in obtaining rises and potentially increasing the longevity of the games.
Point issue - used to be 50 points max, I'd like to see starting points returned to that, maxes of players adjusted accordingly to make it viable.
Pot lock - not sure this helped the game after experiencing it at the start of 121

This is not an exhaustive list, feel free to add and comment on anything I've said. Keep it clean

Its a tough one to argue against anyone's assessment as each manager will get something individual from the game.
Most developments within the game will have a good side and a bad side. UE points are great BUT when the game gets swamped with them, they are diluted and not serving their full purpose.

Sorry to hijack this post a touch but just on the untrainable obsession syndrome reference above id just like to make a point on this. If a manager was to play tactics such as PP, AOB and FM in the same game (using the master tactic) surely midfield players would benefit from having high speed, high agg and high vision in line with those tactics as per the rulebook?

The point being that some tactics when used together benefit hugely from having high untrainables, certainly why I now favour them myself especially with the introduction of the master tactic. Obviously by having players with high untrainables this provides increased flexibility when selecting tactics.

Master tactic
Extra SAs
Community
Ben’s communication

Not my cup of tea

Scouting in my opinion needs a total overhaul
Game is so dependant on lucky scout finds at the start

Karma pts, just don’t like it

Trialists , what’s the point of them

Master Tactic
Podcast
Different divisional set-up
The Rag.....exceptional

Thumbs down

Dual SA’s
Availability of points.....should be capped at 75 points to use over 5 seasons.
Pot lock.....seems a silly thing to implement
Multi team management shouldn’t be allowed in HFG.....and yes I’m aware I have 2 teams.....but it should’ve be allowed, takes away from the HFG format

Thumbs Up

Karma
State Of Mind
Master Tactic
Communication between fellow managers
Scouting - Its a hfg should have to work extra hard to find good ones

Thumbs Down

People wanting everything handed to them on a plate without having to work for it
Rises - Too many, too quick. Slow it down
Dual SAs - Make it one, would make people really think what they put it on
Too much complaining and threads suggesting changes, its the same rules for everyone, deal with it
Match Engine could do with looking out to eradicate the little errors still there

Ben deseves alot of credit for the way the game is put together, especially on his own so credit where it is due

Good

Karma
State Of Mind - (though I would not be opposed to this being hidden so long as Talk To Player also revealed the actual state of mind on that turn)
Master Tactic
The Podcast
The Rag
Communication between managers is better than ever
Dual SA's - (I see the criticism but it's about using them the right way to get the best out of them)
4 Divisions

Bad

Multi management in HFG's

Special credit yes must to go Ben as well for dealing with us all on his own.

Good

Love the master tactic.
Being able to one on one train 5 players. though i would prefer it if you could only train 2 first teamers. then use the other 3 anywhere in the other 2 squads.
Division set up! meaning i didn't have to pay a ridiculous sum to secure my favorite side. would like to be able to take on a team outside of Europe tho.
Podcast, while not being an actual part of the game. adds something extra to it.
Ben, Has been fantastic to be fair. on point with communications and helping out where its needed.

Bad

Multi team management! if it's a thing, it's not a HFG!
State of mind, honestly don't feel like it really has any sort of negative or positive effect, talking to player usually solves everything from settling in to disillusioned.
Karma. i don't feel being able to magic away injuries or confidence issues should be a thing. It's all part of the real football adds to the challenge.
POT, not what it does but the amount of safe guarding around it and deals. pot is not a guarantee you will end up with a top player. i think if a deal is good enough, you should be able to swap a pot player for non pot players with out them being world class household names.

Missed this one. My Opinion.

Good Points:

Podcast: Don't need to keep saying how much i enjoy and value this.
Master Tactic: Genius idea!
Karma: I like the fact managers get rewarded for putting extra work in, keep it up chaps.
Discord Chat: Great feature and enjoy my weekly chat with the prawn sandwich brigade.

Bad Points:

S1 EoS rises: They appeared to be spread across the board evenly for everyone, so the effort and time in to trying to ensure of maximum chances of great improvements across 3 squads was a waste of time.
Multi Team management: Only done it myself because its there. HFG should always be 1 team per manager. Teams will be taken and then dropped in a season again & left weakened.
Too many points: The HFG used to be about skill, with the abundance of sweets handed out there is significantly les skill involved to win.
Scouts & Trialists: Both pony week after week.
Trolls: Same small select few which then creates the bandwagoners.
MDS Overhaul: I would like to see a new MDS sheet done where you can do your reserves and youths all on one MDS return sheet. I have designed one which i think could be good for the game.

Just my thoughts.

GOOD THINGS:

- Master Tactic (it has made certain combination of tactics possible and allows for a more tactical focused game)
- 4 divisions (great addition)
- State of Mind (another great addition)
- Discord (specifically the voice chat)
- All the added extras (Podcast, Quiz, Rag, etc, etc)

BAD THINGS:

- UE Points (far too many!)
- Debt imbalance (players valued too highly and too much cash/points in an attempt to address the balance)
- South American/Chinese/American Leagues (serve no purpose beyond being strip fed in the first couple of turns and hoarding horrendous players since)
- Scouting (seems pointless and random - could do with a massive overhaul)
- Worldwide Stats (would like much more stats on managed players in the game)
